Srisaket Sor Rungvisai reaches a deal to feature on DAZN
3kingsboxing.com has learned WBC Super Flyweight champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai has agreed to a multi-fight deal with DAZN.
There had been talks of Rungvisai taking on IBF champion Jerwin Ancajas in a high stakes unification bout.
However, that now appears unlikely as Ancajas is reportedly headed for a mandatory title defense against Ryuichi Funai.
While this news is unfortunate regarding that fight there’s still light at the end of the tunnel. With Rungvisai heading to DAZN, he’ll join fighters at or around his weight class that have ties to DAZN exclusively or on a fight-to-fight bases.
With the likes of Emanuel Rodriguez, Nonito Donaire, Zolani Tete and Naoya Inoue fighting on DAZN within the WBSS at bantamweight, there’s a good chance we could see Rungvisai move up in weight to challenge the winner of the tournament.
As of now, Rungvisai’s next opponent is unknown. 3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available.
